"The Rover Reformed", also known as “Bavania” is an English country dance tune in 6/8 time and<br> D Minor. The parts are played AAB.<br> The melody and directions for a country dance were printed by John Young in the second<br> volume of The Dancing Master, or Directions for Dancing Country Dances (3rd edition, 1718)<br> and (4th edition, 1728). It also appears in rival publisher John Walsh’s Second Book of the<br> Compleat Country Dancing Master (1719). <br> It was printed in Williamson's English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish Fiddle Tunes (1976).<br> It does not appear in any version of Playford's original series.<br> This version is from Williamson.<br>
