"Blue Petticoats", also known as "Green Garters" is an English country dance in<br> 6/4 time and D major.<br> It appears in the 4th edition of Playford's Dancing Master (1670) and was printed<br> until the 10th edition (1698).<br> This is sometimes called "Green Garters" but this is not the same tune as the Irish<br> "Green Garters" printed in O'Neil's collections.<br> It was also printed in Barlow's Complete Country Dance Tunes from Playford's Dancing<br> Master (1985).<br>
