"Blue Petticoats", also known as "Green Garters" is an English country dance in 6/4 time and D major. It appears in the 4th edition of Playford's Dancing Master (1670) and was printed until the 10th edition (1698). This is sometimes called "Green Garters" but this is not the same tune as the Irish "Green Garters" printed in O'Neil's collections. It was also printed in Barlow's Complete Country Dance Tunes from Playford's Dancing Master (1985).
