"Lament for Sir Ulick Burke" (in Gaelic: "Marbhna Uillioc Búrca") is an Irish lament in A Dorian<br> composed by blind Irish harper Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738) on the occasion of the death of<br> Ulick Burke, 3rd Baronet of Glinsk, County Galway, in 1708. O'Carolan had previously composed<br> a planxty in honor of Sir Ulick.<br> The oldest printed source is in the music manuscripts of Irish collector Edward Bunting. <br> It is also printed in Complete Collection of Carolan's Irish Tunes (1984), O'Sullivan's <br> Carolan: The Life, Times and Music of an Irish Harper (1958) and Ossian's The Complete Works of<br> O'Carolan (1989).<br>
