"O’Carolan’s Concerto", also known as "Mrs. Poer" or "Mrs. Power" was composed by<br> O’Carolan in honor of Mrs, Power of Coorheen. The "concerto" title comes from a<br> story that when O’Carolan heard an Italian violin concerto he declared that<br> he too would compose one and this is the result.<br> It is printed in Williamson's English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish Fiddle Tunes (1976) and<br> Ossian Publications The Complete Works of O’Carolan (1984).<br> It has been recorded by The Chieftains, Derek Bell, Robin Williamson and others.<br>
