"The Queen's Delight" is an English morris dance tune in 6/8 time and G Major.<br> The parts are played AABBB (x6), AACC, AACC.<br> It was collected from the village of Bucknell, Oxfordshire, in England's Cotswolds.<br> The tune accompanies a handkerchief dance. The third part of the tune breaks rhythm, in<br> conjunction with the movements ('slows') of the dance. <br> Tunes named "The Queen's Delight" appear in Playford's Dancing Master in the Supplement<br> to the Third Edition and in the Thirteenth Edition. They are different from this tune and<br> from each other.<br> It was printed in Bacon's The Morris Ring (1974) and<br> Mallinson's Mally’s Cotswold Morris Book (1988). <br> It was recorded by Spiers & Boden on Tunes (2005) and Chris Bartram on The Traditional<br> Morris Dance Music Album.<br>
