"Old Mose", also known as "Old Moses" is an American reel in cut time and C Major (Sims)
or G Major (Canote). The parts are played AB or AABB.
From the playing of fiddler Garry Harrison (1954-2012), who collected it from farmer and fiddler Howard Sims (1896-1977) of Modesto, southern Illinois. Howard Marshall says the "Old Moses" title is from extreme southwest Missouri and may refer to another "Old Mose" tune. The banjo tablature is by John Letscher.
