"A Trip to the Boar" is an English country dance in 3/2 time and E minor. It does not appear in Playford's Dancing Master series but was printed by John Young who published the last six editions of The Dancing Master. He printed this tune in The Second Volume of The Dancing Master in 1713. To confuse things a bit, Young's Second Edition and the subsequent Third Edition were separate from editions 13 - 18 of the original Dancing Master series. It was printed in Williamson's English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish Fiddle Tunes (1976). It was recorded by Robin Williamson on Winter's Turning.
