"St. Catherine's" (also known as "My Lord Cutt’s Delight") apparently is a Northumbrian tune.<br> From the 1694 music manuscript of Northumbrian fiddler Henry Atkinson.<br> As "St. Catherine's" it was published in the 11th edition of Playford's<br> The English Dancing Master and was retained through the 18th edition.<br> Lt. General Lord (John) Cutt (1661-1707) was a military and literary figure who<br> commanded a regiment for King William in Holland and later in his Irish wars of<br> 1690 and a division under Churchill at the Battle of Blenheim.<br>
