"Lord Byron's Delight" is an English country dance tune in cut time and F Major. It is played with one part.
The melody appears in the various editions of John Walsh's The Compleat Country Dancing Master, beginning with the first edition of 1718 (published in London by Walsh & Hare).
It was printed in Walsh's Complete Country Dancing-Master, Volume the Fourth (1740) and Barlow's The Complete Country Dance Tunes from Playford's Dancing Master (1986).
Neither this nor "My Lord Byron's Maggot", also in this section, have any relation to the poet Lord Byron although, since he was the 6th Baron Byron, there may be some connection to his ancestor(s).
