"Hey Boys Up Go We", also known as "The Way to Norwich" is an English country dance tune. The parts are played AABB. The A part is four measures repeated and the B part is 8 measures repeated.
The tune was published in the Dancing Master from the supplement to the 6th edition (1679) to the 18th edition (1728) as "Hey Boys, up go We or The King's Jig". Up through the 8th edition it is given in cut time and in G major. From the 9th edition onward it is given in 6/4 time and in D major.
In Karpeles & Schofield it is printed as "The Way to Norwich" in 6/8 time and in D major.
Douglas and Helen Kennedy printed it as "The Way to Norwich" in the Country Dance, Book new Series (1929).
It was also printed in Barnes' English Country Dance Tunes (1986), Barlow's The Complete Country Dance Tunes from Playford's Dancing Master (1986), Karpeles and Schofield's A Selection of 100 English Folk Dance Airs (1951) and Raven's English Country Dance Tunes (1984).
