Bridie Cruise, from Cruisetown, County Longford, was the object of<br> O'Carolan's unrequited love affair though he met her after he lost his sight.<br> Unfortunately, Bridget did not return his affections, but even so,<br> O’Carolan composed fifteen tunes in her honor. I think this third air<br> is my favorite.<br> I play this in a medley with:<br> "Eleanor Plunkett"<br> "Captain O'Kane"<br> both in this section.<br>
