"Forty Miles from Georgetown Without Any Whiskey" is an American reel in C.<br> It was composed by Gary Harrison.<br> Harrison's fiddle version is easy to play, using only the 2nd and 3rd fingers.<br> The banjo tablature is by John Letscher. His comment:<br> Great title and a tune not nearly as dire as the title<br> would indicate. From the playing of Gary Harrison.<br> This tune brings to mind "Crook Brothers Tune".<br> It was recorded by <br> Chirps Smith on Illinois Old Time Fiddler (2008) and<br> Indian Creek Delta Boys on Indian Creek Delta Boys (1976, 2005)<br> It was printed in Lamancusa's The Gettysburg Collection of Old-Time Fiddle Tunes (2021).<br>
