"The Fisher Laddie", also known as "The Fairy Dance" is an English country dance tune in cut time and D major. It is known in England and northern England. It is a version of the Scottish reel "The Fairy Dance" or "The Fairy Reel". This melody is similar to the American tune "Old Molly Hare". The Northumbrian air and country dance tune (reel) "Fisher Lad" is a different tune. It was printed in Sharp's Sword Dances of Northern England: Songs and Dance Airs, Book 3 (1913) and Karpeles and Schofield's A Selection of 100 English Folk Dance Airs (1951),
