"The Durham Reel", also known as "The Hair Fell Off My Coconut" and <br> "A Hundred Pipers" is an English country dance in 6/8 time. <br> The tune is played in County Kerry as a slide (The Hair Fell Off My Coconut).<br> I don't know why this is called a reel. To me, a tune in 6/8 is a jig.<br> It was printed in Karpeles & Schofield's A Selection of 100 English Folk<br> Dance Airs (1951).<br>
